This happens, when the blisters get very itchy and are scratched by the individual. These scabs when scratched can sometimes get infected thus leading to scarring. An effective solution is to ensure that the scabs are always kept clean. Some popular home remedies call for rinsing the scars well with salt water or by dabbing them with liquid colloidal silver. Honey is another tried and tested home remedy. It can be used to eliminate the scarring by applying over the affected areas.
  
  While scars caused by chicken pox tend to fade gradually after a while, there are a number of natural remedies that can be used to quicken the process.   This is an easy way to get rid of pimples overnight. You have to pack up some crushed ice in an aluminum foil in order to prevent them from getting melted quickly. Then put it inside a plastic bag and wrap up the pack with a thin towel. Now apply it over the pimples for 10 to 15 minutes. This will shrink the pores forcing the oil and dirt out of it.   You can get rid of pimples overnight using toothpaste. Many people find it highly beneficial for this purpose. How to get rid of chicken pox marks on the face?
I Really need help!
I have about 16 and most of them are quite deep. I had chicken pox when i was 2 and these marks never go away. and they are on my forehead which makes it worse. Anyone have a solution?

Hi i have a chicken pox scar on my face (cheek) i have had this scar since i was 5 years old and am now aged 21.

I have very acne prone skin, and i've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it! My dermatologist perscribed a benzoil peroxide cream, and it dries my skin out very badly. I saw on TV a Murad Acne Complex thing, and it seemed to work, but i'm not so sure. I have very low self esteem because of my acne, and i think it would go way up, if i got rid of my acne! Anything from store bought things, and home remedies would be very helpful!

I also was wondering how to get rid of acne scars, i used to pop my pimples and now I have terrible scars.

  Step 1 - Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.
  
  Step 2 - Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.
  
  Step 3 - Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.
  
  Apply a thin film of adapalene gel once daily before bedtime. Its mainly available in the form of "Differin". Its highly recommended! A word of caution though, adapalene can increase the sensitivity of skin to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, so prolonged exposure should be avoided by judicious use of sunscreens and protective clothing.

  When you came home from cherry picking and noticed the spot, chances were you had gotten a little bit of sunlight that day. While the rest of your face/skin tans, sometimes those white areas show up.
  It could be many things, but I know for certain that areas of previous blemishes, scars, cuts, scabs, acne etc that have been picked at, scratched, and the top layer of skin traumatized or removed can somewhat remove the skin pigment, or color, that was once there. For instance, if you once had a fairly deep skin cut and it has since healed, notice how that area is different than the rest of your skin. Most likely it is alot lighter in color and some sort of difference can easily be seen. This is one example of how skin color can lighten as the result of some damage, removal to the area. It will REALLY show up once you being to tan or get some color on the rest of your skin around it.
  
  When you were younger, can you remember a time that perhaps you had chicken pox, or a scar of some sort in that same spot that now shows up white?
  
  As far as skin cancer goes, those areas are generally raised, and not smooth as the skin around it.   The above answers are correct, but I'll just add a little bit, because I just went through my physical day before yesterday. I'll warn you: It's going to be a REALLY long day when you go to MEPS. You're going to be seeing ALOT of different people, and every time you face someone new, they're most likely going to be asking you "Do you have a history of broken bones or surgeries? Have you ever done any illegal drugs?" They're going to have you sign ALOT of papers saying that you've been completely honest and the papers will state the punishment for lying. I signed at least twenty papers. It starts to get really old.
  You're going to arrive at MEPS around 5am. You're going to get stickered, which takes a while, and then you're going to start your physical. They're going to take your blood pressure, get your hearing done, your sight, your briefing (which is sitting in cramped desks for about an hour going over more paperwork and a breathalyzer. You're going to pee in a cup in front of alot of people (boys, I'm not sure how it works, but they all have to physically watch you pee. girls, you get stalls, but they watch you through the mirrors, and all the other girls can see.), and then you get your blood drawn, not specifically in that order, but it's a very long process, especially if there's alot of people. And every time you enter a new room, your pretty much getting questioned over and over again, especially in the briefing. Most people confessed to stuff in the briefing, which is BAD. They'll most likely tell you it's no big deal, but believe me, it is. They'll try to disqualify you for anything. So just say no to everything unless it's an issue. Some girl blurted out "I have a bump on my skin, and I think it's cancer. Is that okay?" If anything is suspicious like that, your enlistment will get delayed because they'll have you go to the doctor to get it looked at. If anything was broken and you say so, then they'll tell you no and have you go and get xrays and a record, and most likely more.
  After the briefing comes the worst part: the actual exam. I'm a female, and we all had to stand in a room in our underwear and do all kinds of funky movements (the duck walk, dropping on our knees on the hard floor, finger movements, wrist movements, knee kicks, walking fast, etc.). You get weighed and measured and get your skin examined for scars and piercings or any other abnormalties. Then we'd all have to undress infront of each other and then see the doctor privately. He's going to be looking in your ears and eyes and throat and check your back and privates and feet and all that fun stuff.
  So basically, if it doesn't affect you, don't mention it! I had a hairline fracture in my wrist when I was a little kid. I never mentioned it, and I'm qualified. I have "suspicious" scars, and I just lied about them. I had chicken pox and had my tonsils taken out, but I mentioned that because I know that they're ok.
  They're going to DRILL you on the law about lying. They tell you the maximum punishments (2 years of confinement with removal of all payments and allowance and a dishonorable deployment), but my recruiter said it's never happened. Remember, they have ALOT of people to go over a day. So unless it was a huge issue (like pins or a huge break in an arm or leg or cancer), don't mention it and just keep your cool.

  Don't know how much you're willing to spend, but a laser treatment is possible to make the scars fade completely. Consult a dermatologist and a cosmetic surgeon. I have been looking into this for a permanent deep scar on my forehead from a car accident 18 years ago that I've had 7 partially successful plastic surgery revisions on. (gotta love drunk drivers, huh?) It is similar to having a tattoo removed.

  yes, I've had plastic surgery on the following:
  - Removal of deep chicken pox scars on my face when I was 13 with excellent results.
  - Septorhinoplasty with submucosal resection of the turbinates (nose job with internal adjustments so I could breathe easier as well). Pretty painful, but the best decision I've ever made. I was SO self-conscious of the bump on my nose all my life so when I was told I had to have the inside of my nose fixed, I paid the extra money to have the bump removed.
  - Broke my nose later in life, had the surgery above redone. Great results to this day.
  - Breast augmentation about 5 years after nursing my son. My breasts never returned to normal, and I was very conscious of this, so had them lifted and slightly augmented. Great decision for me!
  - Now that I'm getting older I have Botox between my eyebrows for my frown lines (glabella), regular dermatologic checks, and the occasional chemical peel. I won't hesitate to be more aggressive as my wrinkles become more noticeable with age.

I want to get my ears pierced, should I be afraid of keloids?
My name is Katie (I am on my boyfriend's account). I am 20 years old and I have been wanting to get my ears pierced for the longest time. The problem is, I am scared of keloids. The background for this is my mother has 4 keloid scars. 1 from ears being pierced, 1 from chicken pox, and 2 from moles. I have gotten 2 moles removed off of my back.   1.Blanch & grind a few almonds to a fine paste with 2 tablespoon milk and one tablespoon each of orange & carrot juice. Apply well on face and neck. Leave for ½ hour, then wash off.
  2.Apply one tablespoon finely ground raw papaya on face and neck. Keep for 15-20 minutes and wash off.
  3.Wash face with coconut water (nariyal pani). Apply coconut water on face and leave for 15-20 minute before washing it off.
  4.Grind one teaspoon yellow mustard (peeli rai) to a paste with 1 tablespoon malai/cream & apply on face and neck. Leave for 15-20 minutes. This also removes itching as well as blemishes from the skin.
  5.Wash & grind a few fresh mint (pudina) leaves to a smooth paste. Apply & leave for ½ hour or apply every night before going to sleep. This helps in getting rid of pimples along with the blemishes.
  6.Apply a teaspoon of olive oil mixed with ½ a teaspoon of lime juice. Leave it for 20-25 minute & then wash off.
  7.Take the pulp of a ripe tomato. Add a few drops of lemon juice & rub on the face and neck. Leave for 20-25 minute. Wash off.
  8.If your skin is dry, rub a stick of sandalwood in milk & if skin is oily rub it in rose water (gulab jal) and then apply on face. Leave for an hour and then wash with cold water. Very effective during summers.

Okay, so I think they're old mosquito bites that I have scratched out. I know they're not chicken pox, because I already had them. Sometimes, they can get a little bit too itchy. Then, it goes back to being bad and stuff. But I mean, there's a lot! I used to have really pretty legs.
So I just want to know, how I can get rid of them fast and easy. And that would also stay in budget without visiting my dermatologist.
