If you also have a cold sore and is looking for Home Remedies you can put On it To Stop It Itching then this will help you out. Epson salt in water, and dip a cotton ball in it. Apply it on your cold sore.

You can also Try warm teabags. Just place them on it, also salt water compress. There are a few more options:

1) Use carmex or Abreva to conceal it and stop/slow the growth

2) Go to your dentist and he/she can probably prescribe a cream to put on it, 3) Just got to a walk in clinic and ask a general phsycian. I'm sure there are others out there but I have one and I am using carmex. Today my dentist said that he could prescribe a cream if I wanted or that any doctor could. Good luck, cold sores and kanker sores (sp?) can take a while if you don't catch it fast enough.

  1. QUESTION:
What does it mean when your breasts are itchy?
I am 15 and my breasts are itchy at least twice a month. My sister says your boobs go itchy around the time before you have your period. Is this true? If it isn't, why are they itchy?

    • ANSWER:
Well, what I think the cause for your problem could be your breast growing bigger or either dry skin affected. If not, the main cause could be something very simple as mild eczema or more serious like condition known as intertrigo. Intertrigo is much more common for women with large breasts so it could be the cause in your case too. Fortunately, all these conditions are treatable with simple ointments - if these symptoms persist for longer period of time I would suggest you to see your doctor and get a prescription for it.

Breast cancer is a disease of mature breast tissue.

Less than 0.1% are in women under 30.

Your risk at age 13 is close to zero.

My breasts dont itch no more after intercourse is it bad?
Well I've been having itchy breasts way before but after me and my boyfriend had intercourse without protection my breasts haven't itched at all? Am I weird or something? Or can it mean something else? Does anyone know?

    • ANSWER:
It is a coincidence. The two occurrences are not necessarily related. Many things happen at the same time but have no logical relation to one another.

Two things may occur simultaneously and have no connection whatsoever.

    • ANSWER:
Ok, hon, here are some symptoms, if you are experiencing any or all of these see your doctor or take a pregnancy test♥

      Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.

      Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.

Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding.

      Swollen/Tender Breasts:
Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, impending menstruation (PMS) can also cause your breasts to be swollen or tender.

      Fatigue/Tiredness:
Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.

Other Explanations: Stress, exhaustion, depression, common cold or flu, or other illnesses can also leave you feeling tired or fatigued.

      Nausea/Morning Sickness:
This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Food poisoning, stress, or other stomach disorders can also cause you to feel queasy.

      Backaches:
Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Impending menstruation, stress, other back problems, and physical or mental strains.

      Headaches:
The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Dehydration, caffeine withdrawal, impending menstruation, eye strain, or other ailments can be the source of frequent or chronic headaches.

      Frequent Urination:
Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.

Other Explanations: Urinary tract infection, diabetes, increasing liquid intake, or taking excessive diuretics.

      Darkening of Areolas:
If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance unrelated to pregnancy or may be a leftover effect from a previous pregnancy.

      Food Cravings:
While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Poor diet, lack of a certain nutrient, stress, depression, or impending menstruation.

I have started working out regularly for four weeks and have a sore rash under my breasts and between what is?
I have G sized breasts. I'm 10st6lbs and Have been working out daily. I doo 20- 30 minutes jogging daily on my wii fit. After 4 weeks of regular working out I have developed a sore itchy rash right between my breasts. I'm guessing it must be sweat rash. And have a anti fungal/hydrocortisone cream. Does that mean I have to stop working out?

    • ANSWER:
If you lose weight you need to check and change your bra size every time you lose about 10lbs. So maybe your bra doesn't fit as well as it used to and you just need a new bra. You don't need the anti fungal cream if you get a new bra and no you don't have to stop working out.

  18. QUESTION:
What does it mean if your breast itches?
I'm only 12 years old and my breast is starting to itch. The thing is that my left breast is the only one that is itchy and my right one doesn't itch at all. I heard that your breasts start to itch around your period but I haven't had my period yet and my breast have been itching for a few months now bi-weekly. What does this mean? Should I consult a doctor?

    • ANSWER:
You might be about to have a "growth spurt"
You might be getting ready to start your period (for the first time?)
You might not be drinking enough, and have dry skin.
You might just have dry skin, from the weather, or air system, or whatever.
Try a body butter from bath and body works, they smell great and really moisturize.
You might be allergic to you current body wash, laundry detergent, or dryer sheets. If nothing else helps, try replacing them with a hypo-allergenic kind. The less chemicals, the better.
If a rash develops, I would say see a doctor. S/He will be able to help determine causes.
If nothing else, try putting some cortizone on it, it is an anti-itch cream that you can get anywhere.

  20. QUESTION:
Does sitting infront of the computer continuously decreases your height?
I've been sitting infront of the computer these days and it seems like my height have decreased.Does it have anything to do with my spine getting compressed while sitting all these days.I mean I was sitting continuous like for 6-8 hours. What can I do to increase my height?I was 5'7 and now I'm like 5'6 and a half or something.

Does hanging help to increase my height? If yes, when all should I hang and for how many mins?

    • ANSWER:
LOL @ hanging to increase your height and for how many minutes (that's not going to work.)

You're actually taller than the average Indian male (165.3 cm (5' 5") according to http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/height-chart.shtml

If you've got 5,000 burning a hole in your pocket you can make a trip here to the U.S. and get some surgery to make you taller...lol
"Unfortunately, other bones within the body finish growing by the end of puberty. If you're unhappy with your height by the age of 20, Mother Nature is unlikely to offer much help, though modern science may be able to give you the boost you're looking for. Limb-lengthening surgeries require doctors to break bones in the legs, and then insert spacer rings in the spaces between the broken bones. By turning these rings, you can widen the gaps between the bones, which your body will eventually fill and repair. This type of surgery comes with a steep price, however. The New Jersey Institute of Technology reveals that one student who underwent this procedure in 2008 spent 5,000 and endured 6 months of significant pain to gain 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in height [source: Florida].

4 possible causes of 'Decrease in height':

      1. Osteoporosis (you're only 19 years old so I seriously doubt that's the problem)

      2. Compression Fracture of the Back
what causes it: Osteoporosis a condition that causes thinning of the bone tissue and loss of bone density. it is the most common cause of compression fractures of the back. It usually affects older men and women.

Other possible causes of compression fractures of the back include:

      physical trauma to your back
a tumor that either originates in your spine or spreads to your spinal area (relatively rare)

      3. Hypercalcemia
what causes it: Your body manages the calcium level in your blood through parathyroid hormone (PTH) and another hormone called calcitonin. Normally, PTH increases when the level of calcium in your blood falls and decreases when your calcium level rises. Your body also makes calcitonin when your calcium level gets too high. When you have hypercalcemia, your body is unable to regulate your calcium level as it normally would. There are several possible causes of this condition.

      Hyperparathyroidism
Parathyroid glands (four small glands) are located near the thyroid gland in the neck and regulate parathyroid hormone which in turn regulates calcium in the blood. When at least one of your parathyroid glands becomes overly active, the condition is called hyperparathyroidism. This is the leading cause of hypercalcemia, especially in women over 50 years old. It occurs when the glands release too much PTH.

      Lung Diseases and Cancers
Granulomatous diseases, such as tuberculosis, are lung diseases that can cause your vitamin D levels to rise. This causes more calcium absorption, which increases the calcium level in your blood. Some cancers, especially lung cancer, breast cancer, and blood cancers, can raise your risk for hypercalcemia.

      Medication Side Effects
Some types of drugs, such as thiazide diuretics, can cause hypercalcemia because less calcium is excreted and more retained in the body. Other drugs, such as lithium, cause more PTH to be released.

      Dietary Supplements
Taking too much vitamin D or calcium in the form of supplements can raise your calcium level.

      Dehydration
This usually leads to mild cases of hypercalcemia. When you’re dehydrated, your calcium level rises due to the low amount of fluid you have in your blood.

      4. Hyperparathyroidism

      Symptoms
      Back pain
      Blurred vision (because of cataracts)
      Bone pain or tenderness
      Decreased height
      Depression
      Fatigue
      Fractures of long bones
      Increased urine output
      Increased thirst
      Itchy skin
      Joint pain
      Loss of appetite
      Nausea
      Muscle weakness and pain
      Personality changes
      Stupor and possibly coma
      Upper abdominal pain

what causes it: When calcium levels are too low, the body responds by increasing production of parathyroid hormone. This increase in parathyroid hormone causes more calcium to be taken from the bone and more calcium to be reabsorbed by the intestines and kidney. When the calcium level returns to normal, parathyroid hormone production slows down.

    • ANSWER:
Most women don't start having symptoms until they are 6 weeks or more pregnant which is about 2 weeks past your missed period. The things you described can mean you're pregnant, but can also be signs your period is coming. A test is the only way to tell.

Oh, and you can go your entire pregnancy and never have your breasts leak.

  23. QUESTION:
Are these signs that your breasts are growing?
I have stretch marks on them, and they hurt when you slightly put pressure on them.
Well, I'm actually just tired of mine. I've had a 36A for a long time and no cleavage. I'm 14. I got my period almost 2 years ago. So, what does it mean when they kind of hurt and you have stretch marks?

    • ANSWER:
Sounds like you have all the signs of growing breast. Theyll be sore, your have stretch marks near your armpit area and on the sides. Youll also feel itchy on the sides as well.. expect when you get pregnant later on in life to re-live the whole experience..lol

  24. QUESTION:
Why do I have an itchy lump on breast?
Hey. I'm thirteen and this is kind of embarassing but sometimes my breasts start itching randomly and I feel this lump. But the itching stops after like five minutes and then the lump swells down and goes away until it appears and starts itching again. It's small, like a millimeter. Is this a sign of breast cancer?
Right now it's not itching and the redness and swelling has gone away completely. I also want to add that it doesn't really happen. Maybe once every two weeks.

    • ANSWER:
Nothing about the body is embarrassing. Everyone has similar issues so no big deal.

If you google "itchy breasts" you will come up with some indications for breast cancer, but in reality there is a long list of what it could be. A doctor could help you. Since you say it is your breasts, I am guessing you mean both at the same time? Every day? Specific time of day? What if you put an anti-itch cream on it, how does it react?

Usually with breast cancer it is not an "on or off" type of symptom. Could be an allergy, dry skin, abrasion from your bra. There will most likely be other symptoms as well.

Is there a school nurse you can talk with?

  25. QUESTION:
What does it mean when your boobs hurt and nipples itch ?
I'm 18 and have sex a lot with my husband never had itchy nipples before

    • ANSWER:
Common causes of nipple itch include chemical irritants, such as soap and laundry detergent, dry skin, and medication side effects. Also Atopic Dermatitis (AD), also known as eczema could be the reason and this is really common.

It could, however, be Paget’s Disease, a rare form of breast cancer that can involve both the nipple and the aerola.

  26. QUESTION:
What does it mean when your breast itch?
Lately, my boobs have been really itchy. I'm not sure why. I've put lotion on them, but that only helps for a certain amount of time. I was told it means they are growing, but in 18. Could they be growing?

    • ANSWER:
Yes, it means that they're still growing

  27. QUESTION:
My breast have been hurting and they have also been itchy. Does this mean I can be pregnant?
I am 20yrs old soon to be 21. Married for 2 yrs we dnt use protection. I dnt drink or smoke.

    • ANSWER:
It's possible but it doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant. For some reason my boobs have been hurting like crazy and have been bigger than usual (I'm almost 25 and have been on bc for over 2 years) for over a month now and I know for sure I'm not prego because I had my period 2 weeks ago. I once thought I was possibly pregnant and thought I had the beginning symptoms but it was nothing. The best thing you can do is just wait until you can do a take home pregnancy test.

  28. QUESTION:
My 9 year old has inflamed nipples after going to the beach, why?
After spending a few hours at the beach in the water, we go home. My 9 year old shows us her chest which is a normal flat kid chest, she hasn't developed breasts yet. Anyway her nipples are inflamed and red, and there are little red dots around them. Any idea what could've caused this? At first I thought it was sea lice, but I was with her the whole time in the water and there were no other red spots anywhere else except for both her nipples.

    • ANSWER:
The ocean is made up of saltwater, which contains salt, which crystallizes into salt crystals. They can accumulate in your bathing suit and rub against your skin as if it were salty sandpaper. That's why you often feel itchy and have red areas on your skin after going to the beach, especially if you have cuts. The salt disrupts the equilibrium of the chemical solution in your body, so irritates your skin.

This is also the reason why you can become increasingly dehydrated when in the ocean. The solution outside your cells has an influx of salt from the ocean's water, so it becomes hypertonic (hyper- means above, as in hypersensitive) to the solution inside the cells, which has less salt and therefore is hypotonic (hypo- means below, as in hypothermia). Salt crystals are too large to move through the pores in the cells' membranes, so instead osmosis occurs. Cells pumps water out of themselves to try to restore equilibrium, so they shrivel, which explains why your fingers look shriveled after being in the ocean. If left in there for too long, the cells can die and bring death to the organism.

I recommend putting some lotion on your daughter's nipples and the surrounding area. Next time you go to the beach you could cover them with band-aids. And give her a popsicle to put a smile on her face! Worked every time when I was a kid. Best wishes! :)

  29. QUESTION:
My left breast gets really itchy sometimes?
Idk why but sometimes my left breast gets really itchy .A little below my nipple and on my nipple. I know its not because of my period.

    • ANSWER:
Are you using a different soap, lotion, bubble bath?
Is it red, pink, botchy, bumpy, crusting, pustule? (pustule means pus filled)
It could just be dry skin and that would be the most common cause, I have had that on my nipples and aereola, the earea around the nipples. I put either cetaphil(or generic cetaphil equivalent), or curel lotion-non greasy and no added dyes or scents is easy on your skin and won't cause irritation.
It could also be your bra-depending on the material-how it rubs or possibly irritates your skin.
If you think it is a rash, please make a doctor's appointment.

  30. QUESTION:
I am a larger girl, sometimes I get this really itchy and smelly rash that burns from underneath my breasts?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is, I also sometimes get this under my belly, i have tried baby powder but it is not working either, I could just use some advice or help, please no rude comments this is meant for serious purposes.
    Thank you so much everyone!

    • ANSWER:
Warm moist skin against warm moist skin is irritating. When the skin is irritated it is prone to both bacterial and yeast infections. Try the antiperspirant, air drying, powder and once or twice a week apply some diluted vinegar to the area to manage the yeast. You can also try over the counter antiyeast cream as well. Hydrocortisone can be used occasionally. If all this doesn't help then see the dermatologist.

  34. QUESTION:
I want to know more about scabis due to my family members' condition?
I am having scabies now and is being treated by applying the lotion daily at night only from neck to toes. All of my family members are treated with this lotion. My sister initially does not have red spots and itch. After she applied the lotion, she began to feel itchy and some red spots appear. As for me, after applying it for a week, I also feel itch and some red spots appear on my skin. What's wrong with this?

    • ANSWER:
      Scabies
      (SKAY-bees)

      What is scabies?

Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabei. Infestation is common, found worldwide, and affects people of all races and social classes. Scabies spreads rapidly under crowded conditions where there is frequent skin-to-skin contact between people, such as in hospitals, institutions, child-care facilities, and nursing homes.

What are the signs and symptoms of scabies infestation?

      * Pimple-like irritations, burrows or rash of the skin, especially the webbing between the fingers; the skin folds on the wrist, elbow, or knee; the penis, the breast, or shoulder blades.
      * Intense itching, especially at night and over most of the body.
      * Sores on the body caused by scratching. These sores can sometimes become infected with bacteria.

      How did I get scabies?

By direct, prolonged, skin-to-skin contact with a person already infested with scabies. Contact must be prolonged (a quick handshake or hug will usually not spread infestation). Infestation is easily spread to sexual partners and household members. Infestation may also occur by sharing clothing, towels, and bedding.

Who is at risk for severe infestation?

People with weakened immune systems and the elderly are at risk for a more severe form of scabies, called Norwegian or crusted scabies.

      How long will mites live?

Once away from the human body, mites do not survive more than 48-72 hours. When living on a person, an adult female mite can live up to a month.

Did my pet spread scabies to me?

No. Pets become infested with a different kind of scabies mite. If your pet is infested with scabies, (also called mange) and they have close contact with you, the mite can get under your skin and cause itching and skin irritation. However, the mite dies in a couple of days and does not reproduce. The mites may cause you to itch for several days, but you do not need to be treated with special medication to kill the mites. Until your pet is successfully treated, mites can continue to burrow into your skin and cause you to have symptoms.

How soon after infestation will symptoms begin?

For a person who has never been infested with scabies, symptoms may take 4-6 weeks to begin. For a person who has had scabies, symptoms appear within several days. You do not become immune to an infestation.

      How is scabies infestation diagnosed?

Diagnosis is most commonly made by looking at the burrows or rash. A skin scraping may be taken to look for mites, eggs, or mite fecal matter to confirm the diagnosis. If a skin scraping or biopsy is taken and returns negative, it is possible that you may still be infested. Typically, there are fewer than 10 mites on the entire body of an infested person; this makes it easy for an infestation to be missed.

      Can scabies be treated?

Yes. Several lotions are available to treat scabies. Always follow the directions provided by your physician or the directions on the package insert. Apply lotion to a clean body from the neck down to the toes and left overnight (8 hours). After 8 hours, take a bath or shower to wash off the lotion. Put on clean clothes. All clothes, bedding, and towels used by the infested person 2 days before treatment should be washed in hot water; dry in a hot dryer. A second treatment of the body with the same lotion may be necessary 7-10 days later. Pregnant women and children are often treated with milder scabies medications.

Who should be treated for scabies?

Anyone who is diagnosed with scabies, as well as his or her sexual partners and persons who have close, prolonged contact to the infested person should also be treated. If your health care provider has instructed family members to be treated, everyone should receive treatment at the same time to prevent reinfestation.

How soon after treatment will I feel better?

Itching may continue for 2-3 weeks, and does not mean that you are still infested. Your health care provider my prescribe additional medication to relieve itching if it is severe. No new burrows or rashes should appear 24-48 hours after effective treatment.

  35. QUESTION:
Has anybody know what Itchy sore breasts could mean?
For the past week my breasts have been pretty sore. About two days ago the left one has become very itchy at times on the outside of the breast.I am not due for my period for another week and a half. Just wondering if anybody has ever experienced this before and knows what it may be? And for any wise ass's out there do not answer if you are going to be rude, I am not a child I am in my late 20's.

    • ANSWER:
If you see a dermatologist and depending on the irritation, they will most likely prescribe you , Protopic (Tacrolimus Ointment) and then give you or recommend a moisturizer like Halog (Halcinonide Cream). Protopic is prescribed for people who have severe eczema. Be aware that if they do prescribe you the Protoic, this ointment is very strong and you will only be instructed to apply in small doses continuously for a week or so. There are some future side-effects including cancer.

That choice might not be too promising although, I have two theory's as to why this may be occurring. If you have eczema, you might have an allergic reaction to the water when you shower. Many people aren't really aware or pay any mind to the water system in our areas. Some water sources can actually be more harmful then beneficial. Sure, most of the water is filtrated but that does not mean 100%, it goes through several filtration's before being served. Also, when supplied to the masses water contains fluoride and lead from the pipes. Fluoride if some of you aren't already aware, is a neurotoxin. It could be tap water if you are sure that you are putting nothing else on your skin to make it irritated.

Perhaps it can be just that simple as a hormonal change, the natural fluctuation of estrogen in your body.

  38. QUESTION:
Are dry nipples and itchy breasts a pregnancy symptom?
I'm also experiencing pain in my lower back and I've been quite emotional recently. If I am pregnant I would have conceived at the end of February, so I'd be around the time that symptoms start to show, right? And are these common symptoms to happen in early pregnancy? Thanks ya'll who take the time to answer.

    • ANSWER:
An hpt would give you accurate results by now. All the symptoms you listed could mean you are pregnant but symptoms alone are not definitive. I'd take a test to be sure.

  39. QUESTION:
How do I know if I Am Pregnant?
So my last period was on July 16. I had unprotected sex on the 19th, 20th and 26th. And from wat i heard you ovulate 10 days later from the first day u start ur period. Does this means im pregnant..? Ive been noticing that I eat more than what i use to and like a couple of days i felt that my breast was like tender and itchy.

    • ANSWER:
You can get pregnant at any time. You need to go do a test, if you can't afford one then go to the doctors and take it from there. If you are there is plenty of support and help out there. If you aren't then you're lucky, and next time it would be a good idea to use protection. But you aren't going to know either way unless you do a test. Good Luck!

  40. QUESTION:
I have white vaginal discharge and its creamy what does this mean?
Im 15 and havent started my period. i have this white discharge from vagina and its not itchy. will i start my period soon cause my mom ans sis had when they were both 13. And ive been threw puberty and my breast are still small and developing.

    • ANSWER:
Once you start puberty a white and/or clear discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away. You will also have your own scent - musky - and it will smell stronger to you than to others.

You can have this normal discharge for weeks, months or even years before getting your first period. It will also continue after you get your period. You can wear a pantyliner if it bothers you.

      Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Your first period can look like this also.

      Different types of infections:

      Signs of yeast infections:
      White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
      Intense itching

      Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
      Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

  41. QUESTION:

    • ANSWER:
Two reasons for girls and women to have sore and/or itchy breasts and pregnancy is 100% NOT the case:

      1 - Growing
      2 - PMS

  43. QUESTION:
I know this is a really awkward question involving my body?
So Around the age of 10-ish my breasts were finally developing and during the development they would kind of hurt, feel sore and itch a little. I'm 14 now, and just recently, I started to get some soreness, and a tiny bit of itchiness on them. Does this mean that they're growing? What age you breasts usually stop growing?

    • ANSWER:
well im 14 and my breasts have been sore/a little itchy, i guess since i was like 12.
      So its normal.
      your still growing
if they are tender, its a possiblity your close to a period.
      Happens to me :)

  44. QUESTION:
Is it ok to just wear sport bras and not the other kind that is hard to hook on the back?
I was wondering because the cup of the bra is too tight on my breast. And I got a rash on the rim of the breast. What does 36B mean? And also it's so hard to get the bra hooked up. I've never bought my own bra before. My mom usually buys them but she's been busy lately. Should I do anything about the rash because it is itchy. I think maybe sport bras are easier because no hooks in the back.

    • ANSWER:
Ok....B means the cup size and 36 is the #of inches going around. Sounds like you might have heat rash, so use a powder that has something in it for the itching. I think that the material of the sports bra you're wearing now might be too thick for this time of year, plus it sounds as if it's either too small or has too much support (that's why it's so tight). If you like the style and ease of sports bras, you can get them in a lighter material and not so confining. You can also look for a regular style bra that hooks in the front instead of the back. Sounds like you'd really like them. Lots of luck.

  45. QUESTION:
Can you help me with information about Shingles?
It started with a 2" triangle shaped itchy, red area. No pimples. I began to get an achey, burning sensation in my left shoulder blade. I went to my chiropractor and he said it looked like shingles. He wasn't sure. The small triangle wasn't healing. A tingling began in the skin over my left breast and then sharp little pains. No further outbreak of a rash. At night the pain is worse. During the day it is not so bad, just uncomfortable. I went to a dermatologist and she said it looked like shingles. She gave me a prescription for Olux and Valtrex. This is my third day with the meds. Have you ever heard of shingles acting the way mine do? How long do you think it will take for the pain to go away? Does this mean I will have nerve damage? Thanks for the opportunity to ask questions about this.

    • ANSWER:
Certainly sounds like shingles to me. The Valtrex is ok, but it is anti-viral, not a pain med. Amitriptyline (unless contraindicated) is a great medicine to stop or reduce shingle pain. It is inexpensive and sedating. It is actually an antidepressant, but it helps reduce pain in shingles. It is rare that permanent damage will occur. It would be wise to stay away from pregnant women as the herpes virus could be contagious. A person with shingles can pass the virus to individuals who have never had chickenpox, but these individuals will develop chickenpox not shingles. A person with chickenpox cannot communicate shingles to someone else.

• ANSWER:
I've actually got shingles at the moment as well. Mine is down below my pectoral and goes around the side to my back. Mine have never burned, but they're very sensitive to everything. Something as simple as my shirt brushing up against it can drive me nuts. It's not really painful, just overly sensitive.

I've just finished up my last day of the Valtrex meds (7 days) and the rash appears to be clearing a little bit. The Valtrex is supposed to speed the process along. I can't say that the skin sensitivity is much better, but hopefully that will come with time.

In some cases I think you can end up with nerve damage. You should read up a little on postherpetic neuralgia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postherpetic_neuralgia). There are some factors that determine how likely you are to develop PHN and how bad it could be. Sex and race appear to play a part.

Anyway, if you're concerned about any long-lasting effects, you should talk to your doctor.

  47. QUESTION:
Can i encourge my breasts to grow bigger and faster?
Im 13 and i am flat chested!!!! All my friends are on sizes like a cups and b cups!! I cant even fit into a trainer bra!!! Please help!! Is there anything i can do to encougre my boobs to grow faster??

    • ANSWER:
There are accually a few options you could try. While they may not work, they're worth trying! :) I've done some research a bit back and I'll share a few I think works if done right :)

1.) Try massaging them. Use oil (veggie or olive) and rub your breasts in circular motions. Then rub your armpit area (the area where your armpits slope down to your breasts) and rub. You can pull a bit on your boobs, too. If your really flat the "pulling" might not work out. Rub until they're pink and remember it shouldn't hurt you! Massage each breast for 10 minutes each each night before you go to bed for a few months. Lay on your back to sleep, too. I personally use Cocoa Butter, but I realize some people don't have it and find it awkward asking their mother to buy some. Also do the massages in the shower with conditioner. You can also go on your nees with your hands on the ground and let your boobs dangle. Unless you're really super flat, then I would wait a bit until they're a bit bigger. You need to do it every night. Don't skip or you won't get results. Feel free to do research on it if you'd like :)

2.) Use a padded bra. When out shopping, find a padded bra and tell your mother or if you have an older sister you can shop with for that kind of stuff. Don't stuff the bra!!!- just imagine how embarrasing it would be for your friends to hug you and wonder why your boobs are so hard. lol. Don't sleep with a bra on or tight shirt- it can stop your breasts from growing during the night when they grow the most!

3.) I've heard drinking milk helps but I doubt it. Soy mild MAY help, but I'm not sure. You could try it though :) I've heard papaya's help them grow too!

4.) A few excersizes may help. Make a fist with your hands and bend your elbows and put them at your side. Bring your fists together and repeat. Also I've heard doing push-ups against a wall helps build of muscules in your breasts to make them appear larger.

5.) There's a ringtone you have to listen to 20 times a day and doctors have proven that in (forget the amount of days- sorry. I think it was a week) and the girl's bust grew by 3 cm. The sound kinda creeps my out (I'm weird. Aahah.) Plus it's annoying but if you want biggers boobs... Just look up "breast growth ringtone" or something. There's probably a way to get it on your iPod, so you can listen to it on the bus or something.

Just take a few things into account first- you're moms breast size and your weight. If you're really skinny then you have a higher chance of being flat then if you gained a few pounds. Just don't gain a bunch of weight to get boobs!!!

If your breasts feel tender or itchy it means the skin is streching and they're growing :) So don't think the massages, excersizes, food, etc. is giving you breast problems.

I know it's hard, considering being your age and having small boobs, too. (I'm a 34A. I've been doing massages so they're slowly growing! My boobs feel tighter in the bras I wear so... :) ) I haven't tried the foods or exercises, but the massages do work. Best of luck! x

  48. QUESTION:
What is it like when your breasts are 'tender' when you are pregnant?
My breasts have been so itchy lately.. I even feel uncomfortable going braless sometimes.. (which I used to love doing!)
Is this what it means when your breasts are tender?
It's mostly around my nipples that are really itchy.. even without my bra on... And I can never seem to find the stupid itch!!

    • ANSWER:
That's a really difficult question to answer. Each woman's body responds differently to pregnancy. For instance, when I was pregnant, I had no breast tendersness at all. When my sister was pregnant she could hardly take a shower because the pressure of the water hurt her. If you believe you may be pregnant take a home pregnancy test or go to a free clinic if you cannot afford a home test.

  49. QUESTION:
Why is my daughter killing herself slowly?
I am allergic to cats and particularly my daughter's exotic cat, Harvey. I get itchy and sneezing, runny sinuses and have harder time breathing in her trailer because of that cat as near as I can figure! One time I fell asleep on her couch and the cat jumped over my head and a hair was deposited in my eye, that swole it up and ached it until I spent a great deal of diligence removing that hair from my eye with lots of soap and water flushing. My daughter has been diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer, mestastisized to her lungs. She does not make any connection to the allergies of the cat. She can hardly breathe unless she uses lots of medications. She does get the sneezing
and choking over and over, but she is so numb to her predicament that she refuses to listen to me about the dangers of that cat in her trailer. I realize that not everyone is allergic to cats. Why would she choose to keep such an animal when she is having so much trouble breathing?

    • ANSWER:
I sorry to hear your daughter is so unwell, and her pet cat makes you feel so ill. When you plan to visit her make sure you dose up on anti-histamines etc, this will hopefully dampen down your reaction to the cat.

However given the cancer has metastasized, to your daughters lungs mean she has compromised breathing, due to the disease. Which causes breathlessness, wheezing and coughing etc.

Her breathing difficulties may or may not be further impacted by her cat being in the house. If your so concerned about the cat making her breathing more difficult, then ask her treating doctor, if cat dander can cause further breathing difficulties, and be guided by what he says.

Animals have a tendency to calm people, especially when very ill. And depending on how long she has had the cat, can also mean, that it maybe more than just a cat, but a family member.

But the most important thing, is that she is comfortable, and happy, so if that means having her family and pets around then so be it.

  50. QUESTION:
Can a doctor rule out cancer with a simple cbc test?
I've got swollen glands on my neck, behind my ear, on my upper back (close to base of neck). I've had itchy skin all over, some increasing breathing problems, and intensifying fatigue. My mother had Hodgkin's Disease around my age (I'm 27). My doctor seems to laugh me off, and says my blood tests are normal.
I know Hodgkin's isn't genetic, but I've read family history places you in a higher risk category.

    • ANSWER:
I can appreciate your apprehension and concern regarding your symptoms of swollen glands, itchiness of your skin, some difficulty breathing, and intensifying fatigue especially since your mother had Hodgkin's Disease in her late twenties. You are quite right that a normal CBC blood test is not "the Gold Standard" for ruling out the diagnosis of Hodgkin's. "The Gold Standard"is a lymph node biopsy. By the way, Medical Research indicates that genetic, immunological, and viral factors interact to cause Hodgkin's in a yet unknown process. I am a Registered Nurse Educator who taught nursing for over 25 years so provide my information from approved Medical sources and resources. Hodgkin's does have specific blood markers characterized by proliferation of abnormal histiocytes called "Reed-Sternberg cells". These Reed-Sternberg cells , a specific diagnostic feature, are malignant histiocytes with large, multinucleated cells. These cells are often seen in lymph node biopsy material BEFORE THEY APPEAR IN PERIPHERAL BLOOD OR IN THE BONE MARROW. I capitalized the previous statement for intended emphasis;i.e. a negative blood test whether a CBC or specific evaluation of the blood for these abnormal histiocytes called Reed-Sternberg cells is of little value given your symptoms and Medical History. As you are probably aware, patient complaints may include weight loss, fatigue, weakness, fever, chills, rapid heart beat, and night sweats. Generalized pruritus (itchiness)without skin lesions, cough, difficulty breathing, and difficulty swallowing may also be present depending on the type of lymph node involvement. My RN experience and training taught me that peripheral blood analysis including special blood tests, lymph node biopsy, and radiological evaluation are ALL important means of evaluating Hodgkin's Disease. Since you do appear to have significant signs of Lymphatic Disease I think that it is time you were evaluated by a physician who specializes in this area of Medicine and who has had lots of experience diagnosing these kind of diseases. I would start with an Oncologist and preferably one who has specialized in lymphatic and hematologic (blood) diseases.( I had two large malignant breast tumors each containing a different type of cancer and was told that everything was fine as a result of a normal CBC and a normal Mammogram) So I congratulate you for reaching out to others in your path to obtain healing for yourself. Good luck to you and God's blessings. Please make that next Medical appointment as soon as you are able to do so.
